About Sara

Sara Palmer, Ph.D., CPM

Dr. Sara Palmer began her journey in mediation back in 5th grade when she was designated as a "Peace Maker" by her elementary school to help other students resolve arguments on the playground during recess.

She originally became a Certified Professional Mediator (CPM) in 2008 during her undergraduate education at Boise State University and graduated with her B.S. in Psychology. After graduation, Sara worked as a Family Group Decision Maker as a mediator between Child Protective Services (CPS) and the parents wanting to reunite with their children. After coming to an agreement, Sara would write a court order on steps to reunification.

After receiving her B.S. in Psychology, Sara also received her M.S. in Educational Psychology and Ph.D. in General Psychology with a Specialization in Cognition and Instruction. Since 2011, she has taught undergraduate and graduate psychology courses and currently teaches undergraduate and graduate psychology courses for Purdue University Global.

Sara is a Certified Professional Mediator (#308) with the Idaho Mediation Association. She is also a member of multiple national mediation organizations.
